Founded by an American entrepreneur Glen Bell on March 21, 1962, in Downey, California, United States. The chain has more than 7,000 locations and over 350 franchisees also worldwide. Before the first Taco Bell opened in¬†Downey, California, in 1962, Glen Bell owned and operated several other restaurants, including Bell‚Äôs Drive-In and Bell‚Äôs Hamburgers and Hot Dogs in¬†San Bernardino.
