  • half onion
  • one-fourth cup of melted butter
  • one-fourth cup of flour
  • two cups of milk
  • two cups of chicken stock
  • one and a half broccoli
  • carrots
  • one stalk of celery
  • two and a half cups of shredded cheddar cheese
  • salt and black pepper as per your taste

step-1: Take butter and melt it in a pan on a medium-high flame, add onion and wait until onion becomes transparent.

step-2:add flour to this melted butter, and whisk well over medium-low flame.

step-3: slowly add milk and keep whisking. Pour in the chicken stock and cook until the mixture gets thickened. The mixture will get thicken for about 20 minutes.

step-4:add carrots, celery, and broccoli and cook on medium-low heat until all the vegetables get tender. These vegetables will get tender for about 15 minutes.

step-5:add salt, pepper, and cheese.

No! it is not gluten-free because we use flour in it to thicken our soup. The quantity of flour is not that much only one-fourth cup of flour is used. We can also use cornstarch instead of flour to maintain the consistency of our soup.

Take cornstarch and mix it with water until it becomes a paste and use it in the soup at the end.
